Bonfire by Krysten Ritter

I admit that I don’t watch a lot of TV and I had no idea who Krysten Ritter was before I read this.  My daughter told me who she was while I was reading it and can I just say, JEALOUS!  This woman has so much freaking talent!!  Jealous is probably not the right word.  I am in awe of her.  And I am grateful that she is able to access all that talent and bring it to the surface and do great things with it!!

Environmental attorney Abby Williams returns to the dead-end town where she grew up and digs to uncover hidden secrets about the plastic factory that is polluting the town. She encounters all the mean girls of her childhood as she struggles with boundaries both romantic (with an unlikely partner) and in terms of the investigation, which may be a bit too personal.  This book is like Erin Brockovich meets Mean Girls.

This book was so good that I had a hard time finding another book that measured up when I was done.  5/5 stars
